Samsung confirmed three weeks ago that it would start rolling out the One UI 7 (Android 15) update globally on April 7. That day is finally here. Folks who have been waiting patiently for its arrival will soon find the update notification pop up on their devices.
The company has already started rolling out the One UI 7 update. However, not all One UI 7 eligible devices will receive the update on day one. Samsung is kicking things off with a handful of its most recent flagship devices first. Once they're updated, it will move further down the line and update the other models.
The One UI 7 update was only released for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, Galaxy S24 Ultra, the Galaxy Z Fold 6, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 today. The Galaxy Z Fold SE (Special Edition) got it as well. Samsung has prioritized last year's flagship models, no surprises there.
Samsung typically opts for a phased rollout so you might see the update arrive in some countries ahead of others, even though the difference may only be a few hours. Stable builds typically roll out first to participants of the beta program before Samsung flips the switch for everyone else.
So if you read online that the update is rolling out but find no notification on your device, just hang tight for a bit. It's not uncommon for some markets to get the new update a day or two later.
If that's been the case for your specific market in previous One UI releases, you should expect the same to happen this time around. As they say, good things come to those who wait.
