Last month, Samsung released the Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update to the Galaxy M15. However, the brand had offered it only to the variant of the phone that it sells in South Korea, SM-M156S. Well, the company has started rolling it out to the variant of the device that it sells in many countries globally. It has the model number SM-M156B.
Galaxy M15 owners in India, especially, are in luck, as Samsung is rolling out the latest update in this country first (via Tarun Vats). The new firmware is 3,204.04MB in size and has version M156BXXU6BYE7. The software update also brings the May 2025 security patch, which fixes many security issues. You can check them out here.
To update your Galaxy M15 to Android 15 (One UI 7), go to Settings » Software update » Download and install. Soon, we will make the new firmware available in our database. You can then download it and install it on your phone manually using Odin on a Windows PC. We expect Samsung to release the update to the phone in other countries in the next few days.
Samsung’s Android 15-based One UI 7 brings many upgrades. The biggest of them all is a new user interface, which offers redesigned UI elements, including new icons, separate sections for notifications and quick settings toggles, and much more. Plus, it offers much smoother animations. Both of these changes make using your device much more fun.
The next most significant upgrades are the Live Notifications and Now Bar features, which can show the status of ongoing activities, such as a timer and sports score, at the top of the screen when you are using the device, and at the bottom of the lock screen when the device is locked. Along with that, the stock apps also offer a refreshed look and new features.
