After a long wait, Samsung has finally started rolling out the Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update to the Galaxy M15 5G. Unfortunately, the brand has made it available only for the variant of the device that it sells in its home country, South Korea. It has the model number SM-A156S, and there, it is known as the Galaxy Wide 7.
That being said, considering that Samsung has released the update to the South Korean variant of the device, expect the brand to offer it to the other variants of the device soon. It means that Galaxy M15 5G users in other countries should get the update in no time. The latest update carries firmware version M156SKSU4BYE3.
Along with Android 15-based One UI 7.0, the software update also offers the May 2025 security patch, which fixes security issues mentioned here. To get the latest update, go to Settings » Software update » Download and install. We will soon make the update available in our database as well for you to download and install manually.
One UI 7 brings a ton of changes. First, you get a revamped user interface, which includes redesigned icons and a split view for the notifications panel and quick settings toggles. Second, it offers much smoother animations, which will make the device feel more fluid. Third, it packs many new features, including Live Notifications and Now Bar.
