After releasing the One UI 7 update for the Galaxy A16 and the Galaxy A16 5G last week, Samsung has now released the One UI 7 update for the Galaxy F16. It is the first major Android OS and One UI update for the entry-level phone. The update brings a new UI design, improved smoothness, new and improved features, and better privacy and security.
The Android 15-based One UI 7 is now out for the Galaxy F16 in India. It comes with firmware version E166PXXU2BYE5 and has a download size of around 2.72GB. It does not bring the May 2025 security patch to the phone, though, as it is still on the April 2025 security patch.
If you are a Galaxy F16 user in India, you can now check for the new update on your device. To do that, navigate to Settings » Software update » Download and install. After the software has been downloaded completely, tap the Install now button. The phone will then restart after a few minutes once the installation is finished.
The Galaxy F16 was launched with Android 14 onboard and Samsung promised to release six major Android OS updates to the phone. Android 15-based One UI 7 is the first of those six updates.
The phone will get five more major Android OS and One UI updates in the future, starting with Android 16-based One UI 8 before the end of this year.
