Last month, Samsung released Android 15-based One UI 7.0 to the Galaxy A15, giving the device a fresh breath of life with a refreshed UI design, smoother animations, and many new features. Initially, the brand offered it in South Korea, then in a few parts of Asia and North America, and most recently, in India and Latin America. Well, it has now released the update in the USA.
On Reddit, a user reports that their Galaxy A15 5G in the USA has received a software update. It offers Android 15-based One UI 7.0 as well as the May 2025 security patch. Upon digging further, we learned that Samsung is currently rolling it out to the carrier-locked variant of the device for the country, which has the model number SM-A156U. It carries version A156USQU6CYE9.
To update your Galaxy A15 5G, go to Settings » Software update » Download and install. Samsung may be rolling out the update in phases, which means that some people may get it before others. If you don’t see an update, you may have to wait a little more. We will soon make the new firmware available in our database. You can then download it from there and install it manually on your device using Odin.
As mentioned earlier, Samsung’s Android 15-based One UI 7.0 brings a refreshed UI design. It includes new icons, separate panels for notifications and quick settings toggles, and new UI elements in many places. Apart from that, it offers smoother animations. Plus, it brings many new features, including Live Notifications and Now Bar. You can check out the complete list of new features here.
