One UI 7 is currently rolling out to several entry-level and mid-range phones. After the Galaxy A15, Samsung is now rolling out the One UI 7 update for the Galaxy A05s as well. Currently, the update has been released in some Asian countries and could soon be released in other countries.

The Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update has been released for the Galaxy A05s in Thailand and Vietnam. The update comes with firmware version A057FXXU9DYE5 and has a download size of around 2.66GB. It includes the May 2025 security patch to make the phone more secure.
Since it is a big update, you should consider downloading the update via a Wi-Fi network rather than your cellular network.
If you have a Galaxy A05s and live in any of the countries mentioned above, you can check for the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update » Download and install. After the update is finished downloading, tap the Install now button.
The phone will then restart after the installation process is completed, and this process takes a few minutes. Once the phone is restarted, you can start using One UI 7.0 on your Galaxy A05s.
This new update brings a massive UI redesign, new and improved features, better privacy and security, more accessibility features, and smoother animations and transitions.
All the stock Samsung apps have received new features and design tweaks as well. There are new app icons, a new battery charging animation, and Now Bar that displays ongoing activities on the lock screen and in a pill-shaped chip in the status bar.
Samsung launched the Galaxy A05s in late 2023 with Android 13 onboard. It released the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update to the phone in February 2024. And in June 2024, the phone received the feature-rich One UI 6.1 update. It will get two more Android OS updates in the future, starting with the Android 16-based One UI 8.0 update later this year.
Since Samsung has already released the One UI 8.0 beta update to the Galaxy S25, it is likely to finish rolling out the One UI 7.0 update to all eligible Galaxy phones across all regions globally before the end of next month.
